Benefits Of Our Timber Fencing Services

Stand Straight Through A Decade Of Salt

Fences slapped up across the Gold Coast on shallow posts and mismatched hardware sag inside six months. Our team sets hardwood posts deep, picks fittings sized for salt and sun, and lines palings clean from end to end. Pool-compliant runs are detailed to the current Queensland standard before a panel is cut. You get a fence that still stands straight a decade from now.

Why We're The Go To Choice For Timber Fencing In The Gold Coast Area

Fences get slapped up all over the Gold Coast on shallow posts, mismatched hardware and optimistic schedules. Six months in, gates sag and palings bow. We work differently — hardwood matched to your exposure, posts concreted deep, fittings sized for salt, and pool-compliance detailed before a panel is cut. One trade-qualified team from boundary survey to final sign-off, one written fixed price, one finish date you can hold us to. That's how a YardTaskers fence still stands straight a decade from now.

Frequently Asked Fencing Questions

How long does a new fence take to build?

A standard boundary run of 20–30 metres is usually 2–4 days depending on post setting and palings vs lapped-and-capped. Bigger or feature runs get a written timeline with the quote — no open-ended schedules.

Is your pool fencing certifier-ready?

Yes — built to the current Queensland pool safety standard. Self-closing hinges, self-latching gates, 1200mm minimum height, no climbable zones, and the right mesh or paling spacing. Happy to work alongside your pool-safety certifier.

Can you match my existing deck or fence timber?

Most of the time yes — hardwood species, stain colour and board pattern all matched where stock allows. Where the old timber is no longer available, we'll show you the closest options before committing.

Do I need council approval for a new fence?

Most boundary fences under 2m don't need approval on the Gold Coast, but front fences and pool fencing have their own rules. We'll walk you through what applies before quoting.

What about the neighbours — do they need to agree?

Boundary fences are usually a shared expense under the Queensland Dividing Fences Act. We can give you a written quote to present to your neighbour before the job is booked — that usually resolves things quickly.

How deep do your posts go?

Typically 600–800mm for a 1.8m fence, deeper for pool fencing or exposed sites. Concreted, checked plumb, braced until set — so the line stays true decade after decade.

Can I get a new fence alongside my deck build?

Often the cleanest option — one quote, one site visit, one finished look. Decks and fences planned together means better timber matches, matching stain colour, and one clean-up at the end.
